Dog training built around clear communication, practical guidance, and real-life results.

Franklin K9 Academy was created to help owners feel more confident, more capable, and less overwhelmed when it comes to life with their dog.

HOW FRANKLIN K9 ACADEMY STARTED

Before starting Franklin K9 Academy, I spent years working in education. Teaching people how to learn, stay consistent, and build confidence naturally shaped the way I approach dog training today.

Over time, I realized a lot of dog owners were struggling for the same reason many students do. They were overwhelmed by conflicting information, unsure where to start, and frustrated because nothing felt clear or consistent.

That’s what pushed me toward training professionally.

I wanted to create an approach that helped people feel supported instead of judged and gave them practical tools they could actually apply in everyday life.

The person is wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, holding a remote or phone. There are some dog toys and a towel on the floor, with a flat-screen TV mounted above the fireplace.

MY APPROACH TO TRAINING

I believe training should make your life easier, not more stressful.

A lot of dog owners come in thinking they need a perfectly obedient dog, but what they really want is better communication, more consistency, and a calmer day-to-day life together.

My goal is to help owners better understand their dog while building structure and accountability in a way that feels realistic and sustainable long term.

Training focuses on:

  •  Clear communication

  •  Consistency over perfection

  •  Real-life results

  •  Building owner confidence

  •  Creating calm structure at home and in public

Because when dogs clearly understand expectations, everything starts to feel easier for both ends of the leash.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with everyday dog owners who love their dog but feel overwhelmed by certain behaviors or unsure how to move forward.

Some clients are raising a new puppy. Others are struggling with pulling, reactivity, overstimulation, jumping, or lack of structure at home.

Most have already spent time searching online, trying different advice, or feeling frustrated that nothing seems to stick.

That’s where I come in.

My job is to simplify the process, give you a clear path forward, and help you create results that actually carry over into real life.

WHAT MAKES FRANKLIN K9 ACADEMY DIFFERENT

A lot of training focuses only on the dog.

At Franklin K9 Academy, I focus just as much on teaching the owner.

My background in education allows me to break training down in a way that feels approachable, practical, and repeatable so you leave understanding not just what to do, but why it works.

You shouldn’t leave training sessions feeling confused or dependent on a trainer forever.

The goal is to give you the confidence and understanding to continue succeeding long after training ends.

MORE THAN JUST OBEDIENCE

Training is not about creating a robot dog.

It’s about building trust, communication, and structure so your dog can successfully exist in your home, your routines, and your everyday life.

That might mean calmer walks, less stress around guests, better listening in public, or simply feeling more connected to your dog overall.

Those are the kinds of changes that truly matter.
